Our Mission

McGill Undergraduates for Communication Disorders Awareness (MUCDA) is an on-campus organization made up of undergraduate students from various disciplines, dedicated to raising awareness for individuals with communication disorders.

Our Values

  • Provide support and companionship to children and adults with speech and/or language impairments through our Buddy Program, where McGill student volunteers are paired with individuals in the Montreal community to offer friendship, encouragement, and optional help with speech therapy exercises.
  • Raise funds for foundations and initiatives that support people with speech and/or language impairments, as well as for local families who may require financial assistance to access speech therapy services.
  • Promote awareness, understanding, and interest in the field of speech-language pathology through outreach, education, and community engagement.
